My Approach to Helping
Are you struggling with depression, low self-confidence, or anxiety? Are you having difficulties in your relationships or at work? Are you finding it hard to cope with a loss, life transition, or illness? I have brought warmth, insight, and compassion to my work with individuals & couples for 25 years as a Psychologist. My approach to psychotherapy is to create a safe environment through listening and empathy that will enable you to talk about patterns in your life that are causing you distress. Together we explore your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships and dreams with the goal of helping you achieve greater life satisfaction, healthier relationships & new sources of self worth.
I am a Psychologist, Couples Therapist, and Hypnotherapist working with adults and adolescents. In Individual therapy, I help my clients with depression, anxiety, low self-confidence, grief, trauma, and childhood issues. In Relationship & Marital Therapy, I help couples develop communication & conflict resolution skills, and improve physical & emotional intimacy and trust. Last, I treat individuals experiencing stress and various health conditions, and I use Hypnotherapy to help reduce distressing symptoms and habits.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
I believe that the bond that I create with each individual that I work I with is a hugely important part of what helps them learn about themselves, and ultimately grow and change to fulfill their potential as human beings. To facilitate this bond and the personal exploration and growth process, I ask important questions, carefully listen, express empathy, provide insight, and work collaboratively to understand the way each person is struggling in his or her life. I also find it very helpful to explore childhood experiences which were painful or in some way played a role in the development of each individual's life difficulties.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I have been practicing psychotherapy for 25 years, and I enjoy that each person I work with is a unique individual, different from every other person I have worked with before. It is wonderful to get to know my clients in a very deep way- how they experience and express emotions & needs, what their relationship patterns are, how they perceive and maintain self worth, and whether they struggle from anxiety, depression or addictions. It is a very fulfilling experience to begin a psychotherapy journey with each person that I work with knowing that we will both be forever changed in a positive way by our work together. I will be moved by each person's life story and by his or her incredible capacity to grow and change. The person I work with will be able to live his or her life more fully with increased self worth, greater emotional stability, the ability to pursue their dreams, and more satisfying relationships.
