My Approach to Helping
In 1989, I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a master's degree in Counseling Psychology. I have worked in a wide variety of settings. These include, but are not limited to, community mental health centers, medical clinics, an inpatient psychiatric hospital, and multiple group homes for troubled children and adolescents. I have been the Counseling DirectorDisability Services Director at a community college and a professor of psychology at a university. I have also had my own private practice and worked extensively with addictions. I have purposefully worked in all these varied areas so as to be as well-versed as a generalist clinician as possible. Said another way, in over three decades of practice, I've seen it all!
