My Approach to Helping

With over 20 years of clinical experience, my approach to therapy is rooted in creating a safe, compassionate, and culturally sensitive space where clients feel empowered to explore, heal, and thrive. I firmly believe that therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and I tailor my methods to each individual’s unique needs, challenges, and goals.

As a trauma specialist, I have dedicated my career to supporting clients in understanding, processing, and overcoming the deep wounds caused by trauma. Whether it’s childhood, relational, intergenerational, or health-related trauma, I use trauma-informed care to guide clients toward resilience and long-term emotional well-being. My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), somatic experiencing, brain spotting, and compassion-focused therapy, ensuring comprehensive care for even the most complex challenges.

Drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities—including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family Therapy, Imago Therapy, Gottman Method, Somatic Experiencing, Brainspotting, and Somatic Psychotherapy—I adopt a holistic, multi-modal approach. This ensures that we address not only the symptoms but also the underlying patterns and experiences that contribute to distress.

In today’s fast-evolving digital landscape, I also specialize in helping parents and families navigate the complexities of digital parenting. From managing cyber addiction and excessive screen time to ensuring online safety, I provide actionable strategies that empower parents to foster healthy boundaries and meaningful connections with their children. My expertise in this area is designed to equip families with tools to thrive in a technology-driven world while addressing the unique challenges it brings.

I work extensively with tweens, teens, adults, parents, and couples. For clients navigating trauma, I use trauma-informed care to gently guide them toward understanding, processing, and releasing their pain while building resilience. My work with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, or grief focuses on creating practical, actionable strategies to restore balance and emotional well-being. When working with couples and families, I emphasize enhancing communication, understanding dynamics, and fostering deeper connections.

Fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Marathi, I strive to make therapy accessible and inclusive for clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. My goal is to provide a non-judgmental, supportive environment where clients can feel seen, heard, and valued.

Ultimately, my approach is about partnership—I’m here to walk alongside you, offering the tools, insights, and support you need to overcome challenges and embrace a fulfilling, meaningful life. I truly believe in and practice client empowerment through my holistic approach.
