My Approach to Helping
Welcome! I'm Olivia, a registered psychotherapist (qualifying). I'm here to support you in discovering your authentic self while navigating life's challenges and promoting personal growth. My journey with therapy began many years ago when I experienced firsthand its transformative nature. In the present day, I have the privilege of facilitating a safe, judgment-free space for clients to explore their emotions, experiences, and identities.
I specialize in helping clients navigate relationship challenges, life transitions, emotional support, and trauma processing. My approach is compassionate and direct, and I seek to work from a trauma-informed and person-centered perspective.
I am committed to reducing the stigma of mental health, particularly for men, who may feel pressure to keep struggles private due to societal expectations. I've found that many of my male clients discover a newfound sense of validation and openness in our sessions, allowing them to explore and reflect in ways they may not have felt comfortable doing before. I also seek to support LGBTQ+ clients, people with disabilities and clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, including BIPOC. Regardless of our differences, I strive to honour clients' values and experiences to help all clients feel seen and heard.
