My Approach to Helping

Thank you for being here and taking this next step into therapy. My job is to remind you to live in the present and make your future what you want it to be.

“Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards.” -Søren Kierkegaard

“This journey has to start at the only place it can- where you are right now. Step into this moment and radically accept where you are right now as being the absolute perfect place you are meant to be” -Don Miguel Ruiz Jr.

I work with children, adolescents, or adults, with social andor generalized anxiety, depression, PTSD, personality disorders, stress management, relationship issues, anger management, life transitions, burnout, and self-care.

I use many approaches to therapy, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help navigate your emotional and behavioral challenges effectively by analyzing unwanted thought patterns and turning them into positive aspects. In addition to CBT, I incorporate elements of art and play therapy, to create a holistic and creative therapeutic environment. I would include spiritual practices in my sessions if desired by allowing you as my client to be your own expert in therapy through transpersonal exploration. This incorporates nature with mind and body connections. I use evidence-based techniques to explore emotions and look at our connection with the world. I aim to empower individuals to overcome challenges, discover inner strengths, and lead fulfilling lives.

More Info About My Practice

About me: I am from Southern California and have loved the close access to beaches so much I moved to be closer to them. I am a person who loves nature and gives it my all in every aspect. I received my bachelor's degree at University of California, San Diego in general psychology which began my journey into helping others. I have always had a passion to support others in any way possible. Following my undergrad, I worked with children on the autism spectrum using behavioral techniques for 3 years until starting my path into the education system. I am currently working on my master’s in counseling to be a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) through National University. I enjoy anything involving nature such as hiking and sunsets. I also have hobbies in drawing, painting, and playing video games when I have the chance. Practicing self-care is one of my most important ways to live peacefully. I love the concept of smell, as I have an obsession with essential oils, particularly lavender. I look forward to working with you and being with you on this journey!
