My Approach to Helping
I have an undergraduate degree from Charleston Southern University in Sociology and a Master's in Social Work from Wesleyan University.
I believe compassion and support are a great place to start when working with any client. If we have to walk through something difficult, we should at least not have to walk alone. I frequently use therapy models such as cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and strength-based therapy, but I cater my approach to each individual.
My passion is watching individuals thrive regardless of their circumstances. Helping the client identify their strengths while displaying empathy, compassion, and understanding is what makes this whole process more comfortable. My clients would most commonly describe me as gentle, genuine, and easy-going.
