My Approach to Helping

Life is hard. It asks much from us and takes much from us. Learning how to fundamentally hold your own in your own existence, live by your own desires, your own passions, is central to living a life that you find meaningful and worth their time.

I help clients accept reality as it is, to be themselves and to enjoy being themselves. Internal harmony is essential to human happiness. In sessions, clients discover the totality of their personhood, come to appreciate being alive, to thrive rather than to simply survive. By making space for their inner selves, my clients come away from therapy with the ability to live life authentically.

Existential therapy can settle mental health issues significantly and permanently. My background as a philosopher coupled with my therapeutic skills allows clients a unique opportunity to see the human experience in a new way. Using the accumulated wisdom of great sages, I’ll guide you through life’s issues so that you can find internal harmony. Share your story and I’ll show you the way.

More Info About My Practice

I’m a semi-retired professor of philosophy who also spent over a decade in the mental health field. Today, I work primarily with individuals, adolescent and up, who find themselves troubled, anxious, depressed, traumatized, often searching for meaning and purpose in their life.

I am now a proud member of the Resilience Lab mental health collective. Our mission is to create a systemic impact in the US mental health market by improving access to quality care. We are building the largest and most diverse community of clinicians working collaboratively to produce better outcomes.
