My Approach to Helping
Part of what makes me an effective therapist is my own lived experiences with the issues I treat. Since I was a child I have strived to understand and heal wounds associated with the power of relationships. I have seen how relationships can leave imprints on us which echo throughout the ebbs and flows of life’s transitions. Growing up, I struggled with depression, anxiety, and my identity because of unhealthy family dynamics rooted in generational trauma, and untreated mental illness. I have found that confronting the imprints left on me has given me the wisdom to better understand and treat my clients who struggle to navigate their own relationships, emotions, and sense of self.
