My Approach to Helping
Psychotherapy is a process, not an event, and healing and transformation is possible. Through creating a non-judgmental and compassionate therapeutic environment, I help foster insights into your distress, helping translate these discoveries into an improved quality of life. By relieving symptoms and addressing the source of problems, the process of therapy promotes well-being, meaning, and purpose. Psychotherapy is an effective method for promoting wellness and facilitating enduring positive change. Everyone has the innate desire and ability to lead authentic, meaningful, and purposeful lives. Psychotherapy is a proven path to uncover and access that potential.
I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults treating life transitions, anxiety, depression, anger management, traumatic experiences, sexual trauma, personality issues, death anxiety, and other issues. Life becomes more satisfying when you can better organize and integrate how you experience yourself, others, and the world.
I believe :
1)That each individual is unique.
2)That there are factors outside of a person's awareness (unconscious thoughts, feelings and experiences) which influence his or her thoughts and actions.
3)That the past shapes the present, and; 4)That meaningful change and transformations is a lifelong process.
