My Approach to Helping
I believe that people heal best by forming meaningful relationships. So, in therapy, I always seek to develop a genuine and trusting relationship with the person in front of me. I believe that a person’s true self emerges through this type of connection and knowing ourselves gives us the confidence we need to experience more joy and make significant changes in our lives.
I specialize in the treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, life transitions, loss, grief, troubled self-esteem, trauma, addiction, and relationship issues. I work with adults, couples, families, children, and adolescents. My advanced training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy has given me insight into how the past can influence the present. I like to work in the “here and now,” creating a more connected and purposeful life for my clients. As a lifelong tennis player, I also enjoy working with athletes.
