My Approach to Helping
**ONLINE SCHEDULING, WEEKENDS EVENINGS AVAILABLE**
Being nervous about starting therapy is natural, which is why Polly works with each client to establish a relationship of honesty and openness so clients feel
comfortable sharing their feelings. There is no magic wand in life, but you don’t have to face challenges on your own.
Therapy is a journey. Polly approaches each session as a time to learn about you—what motivates you and what ails you. She understands the importance of
each individual’s culture. She works with each client to learn about their heritage, traditions, and lifestyle so she can fully understand you as a person. Together
you and Polly will determine the best possible solutions to address your individual needs.
A licensed clinical social worker with more than 20 years of experience, Polly works with adults, teens, and children dealing with depression, anxiety,
developmental disabilities, adoption issues, and abuse. She also has experience working with veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression, substance abuse, and marital and family issues. She uses Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing approaches, depending on the client’s needs, to address the client as a whole.
Polly received her Master’s in Social Work from Southwest Texas State University.
Mental health struggles are a common and normal part of life. They don’t define a person; Polly advocates for this. People are not their diagnosis, they just need their needs met and addressed logically. There is a solution for everyone.
You don’t need to struggle on your own. Get started to feeling better today.
