My Approach to Helping
I'm a licensed therapist in Georgia with over 25 years of Experience. My Counseling style is non-judgmental, Compassionate, and Personable. I have worked with a diverse population in various settings. I have worked with clients with multiple issuesconcerns and from diverse backgrounds. I typically use a Person-Centered Approach, Mindfulness, and Positive Psychology when working with individuals. I use each methodology to help the client develop healthy coping skills and an action plan to create a stable mental place where they can maintain and meet their goals.
I approach psychotherapy in a non-judgmental, Compassionate, and Personable Way. Some of the modalities that I use are Art Therapy, Coaching, Expressive Arts, Mindfulness-Based, Multicultural, Person-centered, Solution Focused, Strength Based, Motivational Interviewing, and Christian Counseling. Some of my specialties include ADHD, Anger Management, Career Counseling, Codependency, Coping Skills, Family Conflict, Depression, LGBTQ, Job Stress, Peer Relationships, self Esteem, Women Issues, School Issues, and Mood Disorders. My goal for my clients is to help them develop healthy coping skills and an action plan to create a stable mental place where they can maintain and meet their goals.
My Preferred communication style is the Assertive communication Style and my tone and demeanor are Calm, measured, and positive, I would consider myself an active listener. I was drawn to therapy because I like helping people. I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology, and a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 25 years of experience in the Counseling field.
For my client to create a mental place where they can maintain and meet their goals. I conduct my initial session with my clients by completing an intake form to gather information and to give the client a chance to ask questions.
