My Approach to Helping
I have worked extensively with both individual clients, as well as couples. I specialize in helping clients with the following issues: affective disorders (e.g., depression), anxiety problems, and marital issues. I frequently work with helping clients to rapidly resolve trauma issues, including childhood abuse. I also work with with stress issues, health psychology, and sleep problems.
I use cognitive-behavioral therapy, as well as brief therapy and Eye Movement Therapy to assist clients in achieving relatively rapid resolution of their problems and difficulties.
I am a Christian, and my faith is very important to me. However, I NEVER proselytize or push the "faith issue" on my clients indiscriminately. In fact, I have been told by many clients that I am very "nonjudgmental" and "supportive" in my approach to working with them.
