My Approach to Helping
I'm Bob Gallagher, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a deep commitment to helping individuals on their journey to recovery and emotional well-being. With 24 years of personal recovery experience and over two decades of clinical practice, my approach to healing is both empathetic and pragmatic, tailored to the unique needs of each individual I work with.
I believe in the power of a collaborative therapeutic relationship, where the client and I work as a team to navigate the complexities of emotional issues and addictive disorders. My aim is to empower individuals, helping them to tap into their inherent strengths and resilience. I focus on building skills, enhancing self-awareness, and fostering a sense of hope and possibility.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Boston and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Boston University, my educational background has provided me with a solid foundation in understanding the diverse aspects of mental health and addiction.
My approach to healing at Rockland Recovery is centered on understanding each person's unique story, using a range of therapeutic tools to support their journey toward healing, and empowering them to lead a fulfilling and balanced life.
