My Approach to Helping
Now offering online sessions
You deserve to be happy.
Are you feeling depressed or anxious? Are you stuck in less than ideal relationships? Would you like greater self-acceptance, confidence, self-love? I want to work with you to bring out your strengths and eliminate what's blocking you from becoming your full, happy self.
I will listen to you with compassion and acceptance, and help you to untangle your thoughts, sensations, emotions and intentions. We will work together to come up with strategies to help you in your day to day life. In addition to various forms of talk therapy, I like to use newer, innovative therapies such as Lifespan Integration to get to the root of issues and integrate them so that you can break old patterns that are no longer serving you.
It can be scary to contact someone about therapy. I want to work with you to help you feel comfortable. I tailor therapy sessions to each individual, couple or family and I like getting feedback from clients so I can adjust what I do to allow my clients can get as much as possible out of therapy.
More Info About My Practice
I love learning about the latest psychological research, psychological theory, neurobiology, mind body healing and mindfulness practices and using these to create a unique way to help each person I work with. The work we do together can actually begin to change your brain in healthy ways that help you to break the patterns that are keeping you stuck.
I do not bill insurance. Please ask your insurance about deductible, copay, diagnosis and referral needed for therapy to determine if it makes sense to see a therapist who is covered by your insurance.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
Modern neuroscience confirms that psychotherapy and mindfulness can help you to understand, tolerate and deal with your emotions in healthy ways. You can use your mind to build new pathways in your brain that can lead to greater happiness and more fulfilling relationships. It is possible for you to become your true, happy, confident self.
There are ways to approach chronic pain and illness that may actually help you to reduce or eliminate them. This should not replace seeing an MD and getting an accurate diagnosis and medical treatment. If you have not found relief through the medical system, however, I may be able to help. Using the principles of neuroplasticity and neurochemistry, calming the nervous system, working with thoughts and emotions, and changing your behavior may help. These strategies also have beneficial side effects, such as more enjoyment in life.
