My Approach to Helping
I currently specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults. As a native Spanish speaker, I am also able to provide clients with bilingual counseling sessions. This allows me to bridge the gap between many individuals who struggle with finding the appropriate services due to a language barrier. Additionally, during my career I’ve worked with clients to treat a variety of disorders including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and depressive disorders. I have additionally worked with clients facing varying challenges including self-harm, suicidal ideation, and trauma
Some of the techniques that I’ve been trained include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Play Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. I am passionate about helping all clients find their voice, where they can have a safe place that allows them to be heard.
My goal is to provide individuals with a multiculturally sensitive, non-judgmental, compassionate, and safe environment, where they can feel heard. I strive to meet individuals where they’re at and help guide them on their path to achieving their mental health goals. My hope is that clients will learn and gain new tools to improve coping, relationships, and communication; allowing them to become their best selves.
