My Approach to Helping
My Name Is Roxane Blanchard Johnson. I am a licensed professional clinical counselor. I have over 18 years of experience working as a psychotherapist and life coach. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Providing a safe, judgment-free environment. I tailor dialog and treatment plans to meet your unique and specific needs. I want my clients to experience a safe, affirming environment where a healthy therapeutic relationship can be fostered.

I enrolled in the counseling program when I attended seminary. After taking one counseling course I knew I had found my calling. I have always been motivated to help others and in my role as a therapist, I get to help others on the journey to mental wellness. I am excited when I witness the changes in clients that I work with. This drives me to continually grow my areas of expertise in order to help more people.
In setting goals it is important to get the client's commitment. I work with the client to develop goals that are achievable, and measurable, helping the client to achieve the success they want.
During the initial session, I ask open-ended questions that help to understand the client's reason for starting therapy. I describe my therapeutic approach and before the end of the discussion, I provide clients with at least one tool or technique that they can begin using to manage their symptoms.
