My Approach to Helping
I understand that death and other transitions are a normal part of life. Yet, we're usually not taught how to handle the common overwhelming emotions and instead are often advised to just move on or to accept the new normal.
Experiencing grief is very difficult, painful and disrupts every area of our lives. Adjusting to a health issue or any other major life change is stressful and exhausting. You may be feeling overwhelmed by sadness, fear or maybe even hopelessness on any given day. Or maybe you're distracted and having trouble concentrating, sleeping or soothing your pain with substances or other numbing activities?
I can help you navigate through this storm and help you restore your inner equilibrium and hope.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
I think one the most important factors in choosing a therapist is for you to experience being truly heard and understood. This can happen as quickly as during the initial phone consultation or at the first appointment. I suggest you answer these questions after we talk or meet: Did I feel safe sharing my story and struggle? Do I think we can work towards my healing goals?
