My Approach to Helping
Dr. Rasheed holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Michigan (1981) and a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University's Graduate School of Applied Professional Psychology. She is a licensed psychologist who has worked in the private sector in solo as well as group private practice. She is a compassionate clinician, and her specialties include working with individual adults and teens to overcome depression, anxiety, stress management, and other emotional challenges by utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) methods and principles. She is available to help individual adults identify their goals and develop strategies for achieving those goals. Her work with school-aged children is conducted in family therapy modalities and incorporates CBT, assisting parents in improving their children's behavior and emotional adjustment and also assisting couples and families in improving their relationships. She also has expertise in providing diagnostic assessments and psychological testing.
