My Approach to Helping
Do you struggle with an eating disorder or body image distress? Does your relationship with food, exercise, or your body make you feel exhausted and overwhelmed? Does trauma or anxiety interfere with your ability to feel safe in your body, set boundaries or prioritize your needs? Now more than ever, people are feeling anxious and uncertain about how to manage societal pressures, their relationships, and their lives.
I believe there is hope. I offer a safe and inclusive space to explore the challenges you are facing, celebrate your successes, and work with you to put a plan in place to help you move forward. I incorporate a variety of techniques, using an anti-diet, Health at Every Size, and trauma-informed approach to support folks in their healing journey. Therapy can feel scary and vulnerable, so I love bringing humor into the conversation, as I believe it is an important part of coping with the human experience.
Helping people reconnect with their bodies and their inner wisdom is my passion. That could mean recovering from an eating disorder, learning to trust your internal cues, setting boundaries with yourself and others, or working through your relationship with exercise or the loss of your athletic identity. My goal is to help you feel better so you can live the life you’ve always wanted! Contact me today for a free consultation and we can take the first step in your journey!
