My Approach to Helping
Each individual is uniquely shaped by their life experiences, including the inevitable experiences of pain, loss, anxiety, and joy in human life. Even in the midst of tremendous pain and suffering there is opportunity to find meaning, purpose and vitality. My goal as a clinician is to foster a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental environment in which you can share your life experiences and gain new perspective and understanding. I am here to guide you as you work through life’s challenges and provide you with effective tools and techniques to live a more fulfilling life.
I have experience working with individuals ranging from adolescents to older adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma responses, attachment ruptures, adverse life events, and relationship issues.
I use a variety of techniques and approaches from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). I specialize in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and the developmental needs meeting strategy (DNMS) for attachment repair.
