My Approach to Helping

Part of my work as an LMFT is creating a safe, supportive environment for my clients. I provide compassionate, inclusive therapy for individuals, couples, LGBTQ+, and geeks, fostering healing and positive change.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment for my clients. My approach to therapy is collaborative and holistic, focusing on the unique needs and strengths of each individual and family. I believe in the power of connection and understanding, and I work with my clients to explore their relationships, patterns, and emotions.

My therapeutic style integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-focused Therapy (EFT), and humanistic techniques. I strive to help clients gain insight into their behaviors, develop healthier communication skills, and build stronger, more fulfilling relationships.

Whether working with couples, families, or individuals, I aim to foster resilience and promote positive change. Together, we can navigate life's challenges, heal from past wounds, and create a path toward greater well-being and happiness. My goal is to empower my clients to live more authentic and connected lives, and I am honored to be a part of their journey.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I began playing video games from a young age and became close to folks from all over the world who had so many interesting stories to tell. Coming from a history of my own mental health challenges, the relationships I made online supported lifelong healing and fostered my curiosity for this thing called life. My time on online games, coupled with various traumas and other experiences along the way, drew my curious self into the therapy world, where I have strived to facilitate that relational safety for another person just as I?ve felt in the past.

Groups I Work With

As an LMFT, I work with a diverse range of populations, each with their unique experiences and challenges. I have extensive experience working with couples, families, and individuals across different age groups and backgrounds. This includes children, adolescents, and adults dealing with various issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.

I am particularly passionate about serving the LGBTQ+ community, offering a safe and affirming space for individuals to explore their identities, address coming-out concerns, and navigate relationship dynamics. I understand the unique challenges that LGBTQ+ individuals and families may face and strive to provide culturally competent and inclusive care.

Additionally, I specialize in working with the geek community, which encompasses gamers, comic book enthusiasts, cosplayers, and others who identify with geek culture. I recognize the importance of these interests and communities in my clients' lives and integrate this understanding into our therapeutic work. Whether it's addressing social anxiety, improving self-esteem, or managing the balance between online and offline lives, I aim to support my clients in a way that honors their passions and experiences.

My goal is to create an empathetic and supportive environment where all clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to achieve their personal and relational goals.
