My Approach to Helping

If you're reading this, you're most likely in the process of starting or returning to therapy. Most of us experience times in life where we're figuring out where to go next. I have 15 years' experience as a licensed mental health counselor in helping adults create plans to move from where they are to where they want to be. Together we'll explore what works and what tools to use to make your life better. Your goals are how I tailor therapy to teach you strategies to get what you want.

More Info About My Practice

I work with clients on a weekly basis at which time they pay me directly. I provide invoices ("superbills") which clients can then submit to their insurance companies for reimbursement. Most clients receive between 50-80% reimbursement from their insurance companies.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

My specialties include mood disorders (e.g., anxiety, depression), dating, marriage, graceful divorce, parenting, and executive coaching. I provide clients with the tools and support they need during challenging life transitions such as loss, new parenthood, retirement, employment changes, coping with health issues, or other unexpected adversities.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I find great satisfaction in helping my clients rediscover their resiliency and personal strength. I enjoy turning problems into solutions and conflicts into resolutions. Most of my therapy sessions provide concrete and practical advice you didn't even know you were missing. I enjoy watching my clients realize they can become powerful, effective advocates for themselves and discover they were just missing a few tools.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Making the phone call to schedule that first appointment may seem like a big hurdle--yet making that call will result in the relief of finding effective help and no longer needing to struggle and worry alone. Gifting yourself with a safe place each week to focus on what you need will mean you receive a life plan curated for your needs and goals. Together we can, in small steps, move you toward the future you longed for but didn't think you could obtain.
