My Approach to Helping

My therapeutic approach is non-judgmental, authentic, conversational, and relational, infused with creativity, depth, humor, and practicality. I encourage my clients to bring in their writing, music, art, and more. I employ a holistic approach that integrates evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), family systems theory, and somatic experiencing (SE). Ultimately, these allow me to tailor our sessions to your unique needs and circumstances. I hope that we have an equal amount of laughter and tears in our sessions- well maybe more laughter!

I specialize in supporting individuals and couples who have faced trauma, depression, and perinatal challenges such as fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting, as well as relationship difficulties. My goal is to help you cultivate a sense of safety within yourself, empowering you to lead a more meaningful and fulfilling life. Through our collaborative work together, we will explore your strengths, uncover new insights, and develop practical strategies to promote healing and growth. Together, we will create a therapeutic alliance built on trust and understanding, where you can explore your emotions and harness your inner resources.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Brain Sciences from Boston University and a Master of Arts degree in Social Work, Policy, and Practice from the University of Chicago. My supervisor is Elana Thomas, LCSW.

I invite you to take the first step towards a brighter future. Contact me today to schedule a consultation and begin your transformative journey toward greater well-being and authenticity.
