More Info About My Practice
I'm the therapist who wants to make helping kids feel joyful for you again. With a unique insight into child development, play and motherhood, I'm here to get you the resources, skills, and self-awareness you need to take care of yourself and help kids thrive.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
Whether you're a kid therapist, educator or parent you know that caring for kids is messy, complicated and exhausting stuff. All day long you're planning, preparing, coordinating, crisis-intervening, comforting, counseling, consulting and worrying about the humans you're serving, supporting and raising. You're learning, unlearning, healing and growing and as you do, you deserve an ally who helps you feel comfortable, safe, and motivated. And in every session together, that's my goal.
Together, we'll build skills that help you manage the ups and downs of caring for kids while always caring for yourself. And because my approach is eclectic, treatment will always be tailored to meet your needs.
My Role as a Therapist
As a therapist who helps anyone who cares for kids, I am honored to have an opportunity to walk with my clients as they move forward on their journey toward becoming as emotionally regulated and mentally nourished as possible - for the kids they serve and themselves.
So whether you're a parent, teacher or kid therapist, I'm excited to provide doses of comfort, connection, tips, tools & takeaways within our sessions. They'll help you instantly feel relief in knowing you're no longer navigating this alone.
The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
When you're supporting kids, what even IS a schedule? I get it. That's why the cadence of our sessions together can be flexible!
No matter what - the length of time you participate in therapy will always be your decision. I'm not here to rush or delay your healing. At all times, I trust what feels right to you.
Many people find that they can meet their goals within a few months of treatment. Most of the individuals I work with, however, often choose to participate in more long-term, ongoing therapy. They find that they continue to benefit from the services even after meeting their initial goals.
