My Approach to Helping

When life throws us for a loop (or many!), it can leave us feeling disoriented and without a sense of solid footing. We may even forget our internal resources that can help us work through hardships. Therapy can offer a space to heal from stressful experiences, whether they are in the past or ongoing. I am open to the use of multiple modalities within the therapeutic space and often incorporate somatic practices informed by Somatic Experiencing, which is an evidence-based approach to healing from trauma and attachment disruptions.

I specialize in the treatment of trauma and mood disorders across the lifespan. I also support parents in managing child behaviors that may occur secondary to a traumatic event or due to other factors. I am trained in CBT and DBT and in the advanced year of the Somatic Experiencing certification program and adapt these approaches to best support healing.

More Info About My Practice

I seek to provide a safe space to explore the best parts of you that may get lost to dark times. My approach is strength- and relationship-based, with a focus on tapping into the resilience that exists within and amongst us.

I believe in the importance of practicing what you preach. I arrive to sessions as authentically human, which means that the tips and techniques I offer are ones that I have used myself or that others have found helpful, but ultimately you will guide the process as you are truly the best expert of your own experience.

I am happy to offer consultation calls to determine if this is the right fit for you.
