My Approach to Helping
Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, experiences some sort of hardship, trauma, or conflict at one time or another in their life. Sometimes we seem to handle these distressing situations and problems with our relationships with ease, and sometimes we seem a little lost, misunderstood, or like we can't quite keep our head above water. I can help! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with nearly a decade of experience working with individuals, couples, and families, with a variety of presenting concerns, such as depression and anxiety, trauma, marriagefamily problems, addiction, eating disorders, and many more.
I provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment for people to explore areas of their lives they would like to improve. I use an evidenced-based approach to treatment, meaning that the tools and techniques I use with my clients are based on the most recent research evidence. I approach our therapeutic relationship with understanding, compassion, "realness," and validation. I enjoy incorporating humor into my sessions, meeting clients where they're at in their journey, and pushing them when they are ready to move forward.
