My Approach to Helping
I am a therapist who believes that healing is done within the context of relationship. This includes an individual’s relationship to their body, their environment, and interpersonally. I seek to help empower my clients in order for them to gain confidence in their own capacity to be successful.
I have worked several years in behavioral health in many different settings. I have extensive experience working with adolescents, teens, young adults, and their families. I desire to build a relationship with my clients so they may explore their own attachment styles and emotional landscape. I hope to offer individuals an opportunity to enrich and find deep meaning in their lives.
I enjoy working with my clients from a psychoanalytic orientation but within a holistic model so that I may draw from other theories to inform my work with others. Other theories may include existentialist, feminist, humanistic, person-centered, Jungian, relational, Existential, attachment-based, and transpersonal as well as ACT and Motivational Interviewing.
