My Approach to Helping

Relationships are fundamental to our existence and every relationship we encounter is informed by the relationship we have with our self. What often brings people to therapy is the feeling of being cut-off from their true potential for happiness or an inability to move beyond personal or professional barriers. Feelings like sadness, anger, anxiety, grief, and isolation can consume thinking and lead to limiting habits and reactive patterns of behavior, which in turn can undermine self-esteem, conscious decision-making, creative potential, and effective communication in relationships. Developing a new relationship with these stories, images, behaviors, and feelings can foster creative insight into old challenges that enhances your ability to imagine, and create more for yourself. Together we will: strengthen your ability to make authentic choices, liberate your potential for increased intimacy and clarity in relationships, and reconcile difficult feelings, patterns of behaviors, and negative self-perceptions.

More Info About My Practice

I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation. I am an out of network provider, which means payment is due after each session and I will provide you with a "superbill" at the end of each month to submit to your provider for reimbursement. I encourage you to check with your provider first to verify their policies. I offer some sliding scale fees - please feel free to call or email with some possible good times to reach you. I look froward to discussing how we might work together.

Theoretical Influences that Guide My Work

I approach psychological work from a creative and collaborative perspective that considers your unique, whole being. I am informed by and special training in Jungian-Depth Psychology as well as a Level 2 trained Sensorimotor Psychotherapist (body centered talk therapy specific to Trauma Recovery). Both approaches offer insight into the ways in which conscious as well as unconscious thoughts, feelings, and physical behaviors interact and affect our choices. Past trauma or unresolved relationships issues can limit our sense of self and our imaginations: (how we perceive ourselves and our choices the world). I specialize in helping people restore their relationships with their imaginations by developing new ways of approaching old problems, liberating your potential for increased intimacy, and promoting self trust and better communication in all of your relationships.
