My Approach to Helping
Has life gotten to be too much for you? In this last season, you’ve had so many changes, that you’re finding it difficult to keep up. You used to be able to navigate life. You were the person everyone turned to. Now you’re starting to feel hopeless. It’s time for you to receive the support you deserve. I will help you identify what is contributing to your worry and provide you with resources to help you cope with the stress. As we walk alongside each other, you will learn to be present for yourself and begin to get back to who you once were. Integrating cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and interpersonal process therapy, I will provide empathy, warmth, and unconditional positive regard as we work together on your counseling journey. My journey to a career in counseling started with my own internal analysis around the loss of my mom at a young age, as well as having to navigate life transitions that left me with feelings of anxiety and depression. Finding a counselor that I felt was a good fit was a challenge for me, and I wanted to help fill the gap and be a resource for others experiencing or dealing with loss, grieving, and feeling lost in life. I enjoy seeing clients achieve their therapeutic goals and recognize their own resilience. My philosophy is that there’s strength in authenticity and wisdom in being present. Take the time now to reach out to me. I look forward to hearing from you.
