My Approach to Helping
One of the reasons I work with anxiety disorders as a specialty is that they are highly treatable. Individuals who have struggled, often for many years, can find relief through specific techniques that have been proven effective in reducing anxiety. I view psychotherapy as a collaborative approach between the therapist and the client as we work together to uncover both strengths and difficulties that will help the client move forward with their lives. It is my belief that I am working with a whole person and our journey is to utilize the strengths of the individual to live a more productive life. I don't necessarily view peopleclients as broken, but more as lost and having lost touch with integral parts of themselves, that when discovered can be healing, productive and life altering. There are tools one can use to help navigate difficult issues in life that can be challenging. I always feel a great sense of hope as I begin working with clients that they have the power to alter their lives.
