My Approach to Helping
Shelby Mayo is an independently licensed therapist certified in DBT and trained in EMDR. Shelby has experience working with inmates at a private prison as well as clients at a domestic violence and teen runaway shelter. Shelby is in her early 30s, with tattoos and piercings, and believes in being true to oneself. Her therapeutic approach is mostly humanistic, incorporating CBT, ACT, DBT, and solution-focused care. Outside of being a therapist, Shelby is also a mother, a wife, a daughter, a bookworm, and a giant LOTR, Harry Potter, and Bridgerton nerd.
