My Approach to Helping
All of us experience difficult and stressful times and are in need of support. Whether you want to explore difficulties in your life, repair relationships, or improve your reactions or the way you think about things, I am here to support you in your journey. We will work together to improve your ability to think flexibly, identify emotionalbehavioral patterns, and to explore solutions that work for you. The therapeutic process needs to be helpful and worth your time. I am genuine, person-centered, and non-judgmental. I work in a relaxed manner and work to support you in an environment where you can talk candidly about your concerns. I graduated from The Ohio State University with a master's degree in Clinical Social Work. I am a licensed social worker (LISW-S) and have been working in private practice for several years. I primarily work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, anger management issues, ADHD, and PTSD. I focus on clients who are LGBTQIA+, adults, and teens. I have prior experience working in schools, in private practice, in agency mental health, and in secondary education. I use cognitive behavioral, person-centered, DBT, and trauma-informed therapies to support clients in thinking about situations differently and in investigating how to regulate emotions. I look forward to supporting your journey moving forward to healthier and more positive mental health.
