My Approach to Helping
Many adults and children experience depression or anxiety at least once in their lives and reach out to a therapist to help them navigate their emotions. Other people need help coping with relationship issues, job loss, the death of a loved one, or stress. Processing these feelings promotes emotional wellness but suppressing these emotions, especially trauma or abuse from the past, does not make the feelings go away and can, if left unaddressed, result in more serious psychological issues. During our psychotherapy sessions, we will not only talk about your problems but together we will work towards helping you to understand your mental health, identify and manage your feelings, identify your triggers, and explore changes to behavior patterns that stifle growth.
