My Approach to Helping
My practice focuses on helping people live more meaningful lives. I work with my clients to identify their personal growth goals and establish clear and effective techniques to achieve them. I view therapy as a collaborative process in which clients are encouraged to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a supportive, nonjudgmental, and compassionate setting. I utilize a variety a therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, to facilitate recognition of, and change the thinking patterns and beliefs that are negatively impacting your mood and behavior.
I have extensive training and experience working with individuals and families struggling with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and psychotic disorders. I provide individual and family psychotherapy and comprehensive case management services. I strive to create an interactive, supportive relationship that will allow you to heal, cope and grow.
I bring a welcoming, calming presence to my work, along with many years of experience and training at McLean Hospital. I am currently offering in person and video counseling sessions.
