My Approach to Helping
You feel lost and unbalanced. You are questioning everything, and your inner critic keeps telling you to get your shit together already. You struggle with constant self-doubt because you're always comparing yourself to others and setting unrealistic expectations. You don't feel like you're in control of your life anymore. Together, you can learn to silence your inner critic, stop comparing yourself to others, and set healthy expectations for yourself.
I work with young adults, new parents, and LGBTQIAP+ who are struggling with constant self-doubt and feel lost in life. You can feel confident and fulfilled with life, while being your most authentic and unique self!
The most important part to therapy is having a good connection with your therapist, if you don’t have that then therapy won’t work. I’m here to guide you on this journey, not tell you what to do. We will work to build a strong foundation of coping and self-care skills to help you feel more daily balance and identify how your past trauma connects to how you think, feel, and behave in the present.
I use a variety of approaches to help you work through the trauma you have experienced including EMDR, ART, Brainspotting, ACT, DBT, CBT, and Guided Imagery. I create a welcoming environment free of judgment. However, I’m not what you think of when you picture a “talk therapist”. I will challenge you when you need it, validate your concerns, meet you where you’re at, and guide you into being the best version of yourself. Therapy is hard but we try to have a little fun as well.
