My Approach to Helping
Living with purpose, meaning and happiness calls for self-compassion as you work to heal and grow. I believe we each have the innate ability for personal development that is enhanced when we are in a safe and supportive relationship. I recognize how hard it can be to ask for help so I work to establish a strong, therapeutic relationship where needs, feelings, experiences and goals can be explored in an emotionally safe setting.
I take a holistic, interpersonal approach to support your growth, drawing on cognitive behavior therapeutic (CBT) interventions and motivational interviewing methods while also integrating mindfulness and breathing strategies.
I work with adults (18 years and older) who are experiencing a broad range of concerns including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and relationship issues. These may be due to ongoing concerns or situational factors. I particularly enjoy working with clients who are going through transitions and adjusting to changes in their lives. In addition, I am experienced with individuals struggling with attention, organization, and concentration skills.
