My Approach to Helping
My name is Steve Weiss, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Arizona. As an experienced therapist with years in the field, I am committed to my client's recovery journey from whatever is challenging or interfering with their quality of life. My clinical specialties are couples and family therapy, as well as individual counseling for life issues such as anxiety, depression, stress management, and relationship difficulties. I also work with addiction and personality disorders. My clinical philosophy is to start where my clients are; I understand that changes are difficult and ultimately a choice. My approach is to empower clients to look at their strengths and challenges and assist them in deciding what changes they wish to make. I am also comfortable working with clients whose faith is an important part of their lives. I strive to always be transparent and clinically humble, and understand that the client is the expert regarding their life. Finally, therapy for me starts with the therapeutic relationship which I work to build with all my clients, so we can create a supportive, therapeutic treatment environment.
