My Approach to Helping
Hi, I’m Svitlana Chechel, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology. My therapeutic philosophy revolves around the interconnectedness of the mind and body. Through various modalities such as somatic therapies, behavioural interventions, and cognitive approaches, we collaboratively address trauma and mental health concerns that may have accumulated over time.
I firmly believe in equipping individuals with a diverse set of tools to navigate challenges not only within therapy sessions but also daily. Together we’ll work on meeting your specific needs; if you are ready I am here to support you.
In my approach, I prioritize addressing all concerns rather than merely chasing symptoms, emphasizing the integration of mind and body through somatic work, behavioural interventions, and cognitive techniques.
To facilitate lasting change, it’s essential to address underlying factors. This involves retraining your nervous system to access the rest-and-digest mode of your parasympathetic nervous system, clearing out background patterns. Ultimately, the goal is to help you reconnectintegrate with yourself on a deeper level to reach homeostasis.
