My Approach to Helping

Hello, my name is Tajha Lewis. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and licensed chemical dependency counselor (LCDC) in Texas. My approach to therapy is empathic, compassionate, and client centered, yet direct and straightforward. I am passionate about helping women who are dealing with grief and loss, anxiety, drug and alcohol use, and women’s issues (such as betrayal, trauma, and adjusting to life changes) supporting them in learning skills, developing a healthier self, and healing from past wounds.

I utilize an integrative therapy approach tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Majority of my practice focuses on empowering women who feel they have lost a sense of themselves, feeling stuck, and overwhelmed as they struggle to find themselves. As they navigate through anxiety, depression, abandonment, relationship issues, anger management, low self-esteem, personal growth, and regulating emotions.

I want to commend you for making the decision to seek help. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support you in your journey of healing and growth.

More Info About My Practice

My communication style is warm, creative, collaborative, and empathetic, yet assertive. I like to meet each client where they are in their healing journey. In doing so, believe building a supportive and trusting therapeutic relationship is very important as we collaborate in reaching your treatment goals.

In our first session together (which would be considered our intake session), we’ll start with a brief introduction, then complete a bio-psycho-social history assessment along with discuss the specific challenges that brought you to therapy. We will develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs that we will work through as we work toward your goals in treatment.
