Fees: Hello! My practice just hired two amazing pre-licensed clinical mental health therapy interns, Mary Zarling and Beth Fraley, who are both accepting new clients. This is a second career for both of these practitioners, and under my supervision, Mary & Beth are both are ready to meet you where you are and work together to improve your mental health and well-being.

We employ a combination of psychodynamic thinking to address unhealthy relationship patterns, cognitive behavioral techniques to challenge unproductive thought patterns & mindfulness to bring awareness and ease to your day-to-day challenges, all to allow for a more compassionate & joyful worldview. Over the last 19 years, I have continued to develop expertise in a variety of clinical settings. First in the San Francisco Bay Area; the AIDS Health Project at UCSF, University Counseling Centers such as Stanford University, University of San Francisco and then in 2005 I returned to Minnesota to complete my licensure. I was a therapist in the Augsburg Counseling Center, and then I did a two year post-doctoral fellowship at the Hamm Clinic to deepen my intensive Psychodynamic training at an amazing multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health Clinic.

I am no longer accepting new clients, as I am enjoying pouring my extra time into "We're Not Fine", my mental health meets relationships podcast with my co-host Doug Jensen, as well as supervising my two therapy interns Beth Fraley and Mary Zarling, who are both working towards licensure. Email me to schedule with them! Or look up their profiles to email them directly.

The fees are $195 for an Individual Session, $220 for a Couples' Session and $265 for the Initial Diagnostic Session.

As we are out of network for all insurance companies, our clients -pay at the time of service, and we will gladly e-file your insurance claims for you. Once the out of network deductible is met, our clients are usually reimbursed anywhere from 50-100% of the fees. Please ask us about a sliding scale if the finances are the obstacles to you receiving the treatment you need.

My Approach to Helping

My practice, including Beth Fraley and Mary Zarling, is geared towards adults and couples who struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship, or family difficulties. I offer both long-term insight-oriented therapy and solution-focused therapy to hep clients with a range of issues related to relationships, moods, emotional and physical issues, and life circumstances. I also work with interfaith, interracial, and intercultural couples to facilitate productive communication about sensitive issues.

We believe in the power of combined Psychodynamic & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Techniques, as well as mindfulness to cultivate healthier communication and relationships while re-framing old and unproductive thought patterns to help you cultivate a more joyful and compassionate world view.
