My Approach to Helping
Hello! I am located in a rural town in PA. I have worked in case management, substance abuse disorders, in schools, and as an outpatient therapist. I truly enjoy helping others make improvements to their life.
I use cognitive behavioral therapy along with dialectical skills and mindfulness. I am also certified in trauma-focused interventions.
I have had great success helping those struggling with depression, anxiety, and PTSD. I am also interested in helping those going through a life transition.
I am open with communication and like to use humor at times to join with my clients. I am very positive and offer realistic solutions to issues. I am also empathic towards others and do not pass judgment.
I have always wanted to be a mental health therapist since I can remember. I did take a detour along the way to raise my family. I love helping others find their path to happiness.
I like the client to set their goals and work toward them at their pace. I use a client-centered approach and simply provide guide rails to help them reach their goals.
In our first session, I will get to know you. I will gather information about you and your family history. I will also explore what brought you to seek assistance and what you want to work toward.
