My Approach to Helping
Hello and welcome! I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) based in Texas. I specialize in working with individuals that come from diverse backgrounds seeking support and guidance to navigate through difficult life transitions, heal from past traumas, manage overwhelming emotions, and improve relationships.
As a therapist specializing in EMDR, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness, I typically work with clients who are experiencing a wide range of emotional challenges. I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their emotions and thoughts openly. I encourage clients to take an active role in their therapeutic journey, empowering them to create positive and lasting changes in their lives.
With a diverse experience working with clients of all ages, I customize my therapeutic approach to cater to each individual's specific needs. My practice focuses on providing comprehensive support for clients facing various conditions, including but not limited to anger, depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and more.
In my sessions, clients can expect a safe space where they are free to express themselves openly and honestly. Clients often describe the experience of working with me as compassionate, supportive, and transformative. They feel heard and understood, and they appreciate the genuine care and respect I bring to each session.
I became a therapist because I really wanted to help others and make a positive difference in their lives. It's so fulfilling to see how strong and resilient people can be, overcoming difficult experiences with the help of therapy. I feel privileged to be a part of their journey as they discover more about themselves and transform their lives for the better.
Utilizing CBT, EMDR, and DBT, setting goals with clients is crucial in our therapeutic work. Together, we identify specific objectives concerning their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Additionally, I assist clients in addressing and processing traumas or distressing memories to reduce their emotional impact.
During the first session, clients can anticipate a warm and supportive environment that encourages open expression of their thoughts, feelings, and concerns. This initial meeting serves as a valuable opportunity for us to establish rapport, get to know each other, and embark on our therapeutic journey together.
