My Approach to Helping
Tara Lusby, a LPC, and LCSW believes the client knows the best route for treatment, meeting them where they are at and partnering on their mental health journey. Specializes in individual therapy for adults 18-99 with a focus on anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Cognitive behavior therapy, person-centered, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavioral therapy are approaches to be expected during individual sessions.
Adult clients aged 18-99 with a focus on anxiety, depression, attachment issues and trauma. I have experience working with individuals who experience self-harming behaviors or suicidal thoughts.
Sessions can be expected to be conversational with client leading treatment. Clients will set their goals for treatment which allows me to choose a treatment modality that is most effective.
Goals are set based on a client’s expected outcomes for treatment.
Initial sessions are spent gathering background information, answering questions about treatment and creating space for client to become comfortable with my therapeutic approach.
