My Approach to Helping
In my approach to therapy, I focus on creating a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, valued, and understood. I believe that healing begins with self-awareness and self-compassion, so together, we’ll explore the patterns and experiences that have shaped your emotions and relationships.
I take an eclectic, strengths-based approach, tailoring each session to your unique needs. Whether you need a listening ear, practical tools to better your relationship, or deeper work around trauma, I’ll meet you where you are—without judgment or pressure. My goal is to help you build resilience, confidence, and a sense of balance in your life.
You don’t have to navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship challenges alone. I’m here to walk alongside you, helping you gain clarity, break unhelpful patterns, and develop the tools to move forward with confidence and peace!
Had a Negative Therapy Experience?
I know how hard it is to trust therapy again after a bad experience. Finding the right therapist is important, and you never have to feel guilty for switching! With me, you can show up as you are, and I will too. You can curse, vent, and wear whatever you want! I won't rush you, judge you, or make you feel unheard. This is your space to heal at your own pace, and I'm here to truly listen, support, and meet you where you are.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
I have been with my husband for 15 years, and we have three children. Like any couple and parents, we aren't perfect and have our own challenges, but those experiences have deepened my passion for helping others. I love supporting couples in strengthening their relationships and guiding parents through the challenges of raising children while still prioritizing their own well-being.
My own struggles with trauma, loss, and healing have made me a more compassionate, understanding therapist. I truly see and hear you because I've been there- I know how hard it is to navigate pain, and I also know healing is possible. My experiences allow me to hold space without judgment, meet you where you are, and support you in a way that feels safe, empowering, and real!
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Going to therapy doesn't mean you're weak or flawed-it means you're brave enough to grow and want better for yourself. I, too, have flaws and strive to better myself because this world is too big and full of possibilities to waste time worrying about what others think. You don't have to do it alone! I'm here to help!
My View on the Nature of 'Disorders'
In my practice, 'disorders' are not seen as something broken that needs to be fixed, but as natural responses to difficult experiences, stress, or environments that haven?t felt safe or supportive. Things like anxiety or depression often show up as ways our minds and bodies try to protect us or make sense of what we?ve been through. Instead of focusing on labels, I work to help you better understand what these experiences are trying to say?and to find healthier, more supportive ways to cope. I believe healing happens through self-awareness, compassion, and learning new tools that help you feel more balanced and connected in your day-to-day life!
