My Approach to Helping

For many people, therapy is the first time their emotions and experiences are fully validated. I’m passionate about creating a supportive, non-judgmental, and compassionate environment where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and feelings. I offer psychotherapy to individuals experiencing emotional difficulties such as anxiety and depression and those who are grieving or suffering as a result of a traumatic experience. I especially enjoy working with those who view themselves as high achievers who might say “Everything looks perfectly fine on the outside, but inside I am secretly struggling.”

More Info About My Practice

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with comprehensive training and experience helping adults ages 18+ alleviate anxiety, improve their relationships, and live a more authentic life. Together we can work toward enhancing your well-being by rewriting old stories that no longer serve you, processing difficult childhood events, and developing coping skills to manage anxiety and stress.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Often the hardest parts of any struggle we're facing is that we feel completely alone in it. Therapy is one place you do not have to endure the pain alone. There are few, if any, spaces in our lives where we can openly explore our thoughts, feelings, and patterns without fearing judgment or misunderstanding. My primary goal as a therapist is to help you feel safe, supported, and secure in knowing you have a witness and guide on your path to heal.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

I get it. I've been there too. Doing anything for the first time can be scary. Or maybe you've had a negative experience in therapy before. Only you know what is best for you. More than anything else, a good fit between the client and therapist is crucial. I encourage you to not give up in your search to find the person who truly understands and meets you exactly where you are.

Additionally, I use evidence-based strategies from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Somatic Experiencing to help my clients work through their thoughts and feelings at their own pace.
