My Approach to Helping

Looking for help navigating through life transitions, anxiety and fear, mood challenges, relationship boundaries, addiction, andor trauma? We all deserve a space where we feel supported, and I’m here to help you navigate this chapter of your life. My approach is warm, empathetic, and interactive. I’ll meet you where you are while also gently challenging you to reach your goals, build on your strengths, and gain insight into the issues you're facing. Together, we’ll create a supportive environment where you can grow, learn, and heal at your own pace. Let’s work through it, one step at a time.

I specialize in trauma recovery, anxiety disorders, substance misuse, and relationship issues. My approach is integrative, combining CBT, somatic experiencing, trauma-informed care, and strength-based techniques. I tailor my methods to meet each client's unique needs, helping them build resilience and create lasting positive change in their lives.

While I take my work seriously, I bring humor and realness into sessions when it fits. You won't get blank stares or repetitive questions like, "how does that make you feel?". I believe a genuine connection and strong therapeutic relationship are key to making progress. If you're ready to start, I'm here and ready to support you.

More Info About My Practice

I offer in-person individual therapy sessions from Monday to Wednesday, and virtual individual therapy sessions from Monday to Friday using a HIPAA-compliant platform. My office provides free parking, access to public restrooms, and a waiting area outside of my suite. It is conveniently located off the 405 freeway. Please note, however, that my office building does not have an elevator, so clients must be able to use a flight of stairs to access my suite. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important aspects of therapy and a key factor in creating change. My approach? A foundation of trust and safety, a sprinkle of gentle challenging, a dash of humor, and some solid therapeutic techniques in between. Of course, my style isn?t for everyone, and if you ever feel like you?re not getting what you need, let me know! Whether our time working together is short-term or long-term, this is your journey, and I?m committed to making sure you receive the best possible treatment. My goal as your therapist is simple: to give you a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to reach your personal goals, overcome your internal barriers, and live a more fulfilling life.

Groups I Work With

Over the years, I've discovered a real passion for working with trauma survivors, those experiencing anxiety, and individuals early in recovery. I also love supporting clients who want to build assertiveness, challenge codependent behaviors, and improve their relationships while developing a stronger sense of self. I'm LGBTQIA+ affirming and have had the privilege of helping people explore, process, and celebrate their sexuality and gender identity. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can grow and thrive in ways that feel authentic to you.
