My Approach to Helping
Through tailored therapy sessions that blend humor and direct communication with serious, impactful work, we’ll challenge the mental blocks that keep you stuck. We’ll tackle the impact of societal expectations and the personal pressures—like workplace, household, and family responsibilities—that add to your mental load.
As a result, you will learn coping strategies, and cultivate a greater sense of self-awareness. This journey often leads to improved relationships, increased self-confidence, and a deeper understanding of personal values and goals. I am dedicated to guiding clients towards healing and growth, empowering them to make meaningful changes and live more fulfilling lives. I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and healing, and I'm here to help guide you through that process.
More Info About My Practice
As a marriage and family therapist, I work with adults around various concerns including (but not limited to) depression, anxiety, and trauma. Within these dynamics, I have a particular focus on helping individuals end emotional abuse and reclaim their lives from toxic relationships. With over 10 years of experience in working with ages across the lifespan, I work on developing insight, improving self-esteem, and building resiliency.
I approach therapy from a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) lens in which I help individuals accept the reality of their lives and their behaviors, as well as helping them learn to change their lives, including their unhelpful behaviors. My goal is to provide you with a supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, develop coping strategies, and work towards positive change.
In our sessions, you can expect open and honest communication. I believe in a collaborative approach, where we work together to identify your strengths and overcome your challenges. Whether you're dealing with stress, relationship issues, or personal growth, I'm here to support you every step of the way.
