My Approach to Helping
My goal for our time together is to help you create manageable goals for yourself as an individual that will also benefit the connection and fulfillment in your relationships.
As a collaborative therapist, I tailor a variety of approaches in session to meet the needs of the individual. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strategic Family Therapy, and Gottman Method are a few of my favorites, but my personality tends to add humor in the mix.
Prior to opening private practice, I worked exclusively in non-profit and have had extensive training and experience within the realm of family violence, sexual assault survivors, and addiction recovery. I genuinely love what I do and care about my client's progress and I believe that shows up in my work.
*Couples Therapy: As an MFT, my approach with couples is rooted in my love of systems theory. I try to help individuals better understand how their patterns of behavior and communication within the relationship could be preventing the ultimate goal of connection with their partner.*
