My Approach to Helping
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania, who graduated from Widener University with a Masters of Social Work and a PhD in Human Sexuality. During my doctoral studies I focused on men’s sexual victimization experiences. I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities based on my clients’ needs which include solution-focused, systemic, and attachment-based approaches. I am also trained in EMDR therapy and DBT techniques.
I work with individuals and couples facing the following issues: anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship distress, and sexual concerns including pelvicsexual pain, performance anxiety, low sexual desire, low sexual self-esteem, difficulties with orgasm and wanting to explore alternative lifestyles. I believe in the value of creating a strong therapeutic relationship with each client through consistent support and acceptance. I believe this strong relationship is important to empower clients to create change in their to achieve their goals. I provide an affirming space for all sexual and gender identities.
